SECTION 002000 – NOTICE TO BIDDERS

A. The Village of Sugar Grove (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive a single prime

contract bid for the following project until 10:00 a.m., local time, on Tuesday August 5th,

2025, at the Village of Sugar Grove, 160 S. Municipal Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read on Tuesday August 5th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

C. Bid Package documents, drawings, and specifications shall be available on Thursday July

10th, 2025. Bidders may visit the following websites to obtain the bid documents. Printing and

shipping costs shall be the responsibility of the bidder:

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of

10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A pre-bid meeting will be on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the site location at 10 S

Municipal Drive, Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Bidders are highly encouraged to attend the

meeting.

F. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as

established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this

Contract in accordance with “An Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other

employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

G. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding,

and to accept the bid that is the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, which is in the best

interests of the Owner.

H. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner by Cordogan, Clark & Associates.
