SECTION 002000 – NOTICE TO BIDDERS

A. Byron Community Unit School District (hereinafter referred to as the Owner) will receive

bids for the following project until 10:30 A.M., local time, on October 17, 2024, at 696 N.

Colfax Street, Byron, IL 61010

Project #231103 – Aquatic Center Renovation at Byron High School

B. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the time and location noted above.

C. Contract Documents may be obtained by Bidding Contractors from Vesco Reprographics

630-896-2115 or http://www.cordoganclarkplanroom.com, on or after, September 27, 2024.

D. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of Bid Bond in the amount of

10% of the Base Bid (plus additive alternates) made payable to the Owner.

E. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be conducted at the project site (meet at the High

School Main Entrance) on October 1, 2024, at 10:30 am. See Section 002513 "Prebid

Meetings" for additional information regarding the meeting.

F. Pre-bid walk-throughs will be held by appointment only, between the dates of October 2-4,

2024.

G. For site access after the pre-bid meeting, contact Brent Hall bhall@byron226.org

H. All bidders are required to visit the sites. The project sites are available for inspection on a

limited basis after the mandatory pre-bid meeting.

I. The Contractor shall pay, if applicable, not less than the prevailing rate of wages as

established, to all laborers, workmen and mechanics in the performance of Work under this

Contract in accordance with β€œAn Act regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other

employed under contracts of Public Works.” 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.

J. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in bidding,

or accept the bid that, in his opinion, will serve his best interests.

K. This Notice is written in the name of the Owner by Cordogan Clark & Associates, Inc.
